ZIMBABWE INTRODUCES ELECTRONIC VISA APPLICATION SYSTEM
We wish to advise that Zimbabwe has introduced an e-visa application and processing platform which is accessible on www.evisa.gov.zw. The migration to the electronic visa will, therefore, mean that individuals will have to apply on-line directly to the Department of Immigration Control, Headquarters in Harare. Applicants will be required to pay the visa fees at the port of entry upon the production of an approval letter issued through the system. The letter will also be used to board the plane in case where the applicants are using air transport.
However, in the interim, in cases where applicants face difficulties in using the e-visa application system, they may still make their applications through the Embassy in Canberra using the old format.
REQUIREMENTS FOR TOURIST VISA (CATEGORY B)
i) Completed visa application form
ii) Copy of passport (valid for at least 6 months)
iii) Copy of previous Zimbabwe visa, if applicable
iv) Proof of accommodation reservation in Zimbabwe
REQUIREMENTS FOR TOURIST VISA (CATEGORY C)
i) Completed visa application form
ii) Copy of passport (valid for at least 6 months)
iii) Copy of previous Zimbabwe visa, if applicable
iv) Proof of accommodation reservation in Zimbabwe
v) Signed invitation letter from Host. Letter should have residential address and telephone number of Host
vi) Proof of residential status (residence permit/visa) in country of residence
REQUIREMENTS FOR PEOPLE GOING TO ZIMBABWE FOR VOLUNTEER WORK
i) Signed invitation letter from Host organisation or individual
ii) Copy of return air ticket
iii) Including all requirements as in paragraph No. 1 above
